Open Comment Summarization:
Comments from survey suggested, overall, that while Lakewood is largely a safe neighborhood to live in—and crimes that do occur are opportunistic in nature—there is room to take additional measures, both for the safety of residents and LPOA Staff. Ensuring that the safety measures we already employ are thoroughly communicated, as well as encouraging residents to use common sense to protect themselves and their property (such as motion-sensor lights, locking car doors and keeping valuables out of sight), were most suggested. Comments aligned with the desire to see measures taken to directly address reported crimes such as speeding and suspicious individuals by working with the City to install a speedbump at busy crossings and contracting outside security services.
