Field Reservations by Lottery

Reservations can be made for team practice on the Soccer and Softball fields. Reservations are made through a Lottery process held two times per year.

There are no reservation systems in place for the other athletic courts, including Tennis, Pickleball, and Sand Volleyball; these courts are available first come, first served.

How does the Lottery Process work?

Reservations are done through a Lottery process two times per year. Once in January for reservations through July 31, and another draw in August, for reservations through the rest of the year.

These are for baseball and soccer fields at the same time. Residents are given notice of the Lottery through the Ripples, weekly eBlasts, and other communications. Residents must RSVP to the event, and attend the event in person. Numbers are drawn and members pick their practice time slots based on the number they’ve drawn.

What are reservation times?

Timeslots for reservations are:
Weekdays: 5:00 PM – 6:30PM and 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM
Weekends: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM with 1.5 hour increments.

During off hours, usage is first-come, first served. If at any time there is someone on your field during your reservation time, call Community Services at (816) 373-1500 and the staff on duty will assist you. There are no lights on at night.

How competitive is it to get fields reserved?

During the year, weekdays will mostly fill up during the initial drawing, but some slots may still randomly be available. If you missed the Lottery signups, don’t hesitate to reach out to the Community Services office to check for additional availability. Contact them at (816) 373-4343.

Are there inclement weather policies for the fields?

No, inclement weather policies are applied at the pools because they are managed by an outside company. But fields are for residents to use at their own discretion.
