Spring
Easter Pancake Breakfast
Join us for a community Pancake Breakfast outside, featuring Chris Cakes Pancakes and a cash bar for adults. Meet the Easter Bunny and enjoy games outdoors on the Bunny Trail!
Big Bass Fishing Derby
Join us for the Annual Adults Tournament and Kids Derby!
KIDS DERBY:
Free to Lakewood residents, with trophies and door prizes for the kids. Fishing can start after check in; fish anywhere on Lakewood Lakes. Advanced registration required for prizes.
ADULTS TOURNAMENT:
2-person teams; at least one Lakewood resident per team. Entry fee $25 per angler. All boats must have Lakewood registration to launch. All anglers must have a functional live-well in their boat and will be limited to five (5) fish at weigh in.

Opening Weekend at the Pools | Saturday Memorial Day Weekend
All three pools will be open beginning Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend. They all have different hours throughout the summer, check our Pools page for more details on hours and availability.
Lakewood Garage Sale | 1st Weekend In June
This community-wide garage sale is NOT hosted or organized by the Association. However this is a commonly asked question. Neighbors have historically hosted their garage sales on the first weekend of June. Typically shoppers will start arriving as early as Thursday, and continue shopping through Sunday. Enjoy your spring sales!
Summer
Lighted Boat Parade
Come to the lake for the Boat Parade! Boat owners are encouraged to light up the night, and go all-out in decorating their boats with lights, streamers, flags, bunting, and your best creativity! The boats meet at the West Lake Dam at night to sail around the East Lake, West Lake, and back to the dam. Residents on land can enjoy the Boat Parade from lakefront backyards, from the Rock at the West Lake Dam, or gathering at the East Lake Marina. It’s a beautiful sight!
Walk Run Roll 5k | July 4
Kick start your holiday with some family friendly fitness and fun! Decorate your bikes, strollers, scooters and yourselves and join us for a walk, run or roll around the Lakewood Loop! Start at Lakewood East Lake Village Park or join us along the route! We will follow the 5k along the Lakewood loop and end back at the Village! The Lakewood Loop is 4.1 miles.
Pancake Breakfast | July 4
Hosted by the Lakewood Activities Committee | Enjoy a delicious pancake breakfast courtesy of Chris Cakes at the Cove Pavilion (LPOA Account Charge Only). For the adults, there will be a CASH Bar with Mimosas and Bloody Marys!
Dance & DJ Pool Party | July 4
Come and join the fun while DJ Miles McMahon rocks the pool deck with great music and games! Cash Bar open.
Front Nine & Wine
Join us for this fun and friendly 9-hole Golf Tournament! Teams compete at the Lakewood Oaks Country Club while enjoying wine tastings and food pairings along with traditional golf games and contests.
Concert on the Rock
Come by boat or by land! Join us for Lakewood’s Annual Concert on the Rock. JOIN US FOR NON STOP MUSIC AND FUN FOR THE NIGHT! Come by boat or bring chairs and blankets to the shores along Ironbark by the Dam. **This event is exclusive to Lakewood Residents and their guests.
Autumn
Lakewood BBQ - Smokin’ in Lakewood | First Saturday in October
The Annual Smokin’ in Lakewood BBQ Competition brings out the best in our community! Sign up with your Lakewood friends and neighbors as a BBQ Team to compete in a variety of categories. Not competing? Bring the family up to enjoy kids games and a DJ, a Food Tent with plated BBQ to purchase, and Cash Bar. Mozey around the tents to say hello to the teams and socialize with your neighbors! Business sponsorship opportunities available!
``DAM`` Breast Cancer Awareness Walk | Lakewood Ladies 50+ Club
This community event features a 0.6 mile fun walk across the Lakewood dam. Educational information regarding breast cancer will be available, as well as sweet treats, fun, and more.
The event is hosted by the Lakewood Ladies 50+ Club for the benefit of Bra Couture, a charitable organization that funds medical services for uninsured/underinsured Kansas Citians suffering from cancer.
Halloween Spooktacular
Bring the littles to enjoy a fun Trunk or Treat, S'mores station, local vendor marketplace and more on the 23 Acres. Residents are encouraged to wear a costume and join in on the fun!
Veteran’s Day Dinner | November 11
We could not be more proud to honor our Lakewood Veterans. Thank you for your service to our country! This event dates back many years, prior to the acquisition of the Golf Club.
Each year all Lakewood residents are invited to attend. Reservations must be made and typically this event sells out in advance. During the program, Veterans may receive raffle prizes, door prizes or other gifts. The program continues a variety of tributes to Veterans.

Winter
Pictures with Santa
Lakewood residents will have the chance to take a family photo with Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Lakewood Oaks Country Club. Parents can sign up in advance for a designated time slot to capture the perfect holiday photo!
Christmas Parade
The Lighted Santa Parade is where residents decorate their cars holiday-themed and drive the main roads of Lakewood. There will be multiple stops for Santa, Mrs. Claus, and the Grinch to greet the children for a quick hello before continuing the parade. Residents are encouraged to bring canned goods to donate to LS Social Services. Local Scout Pack 42 will be there to collect the goods and donations along the parade route.
