
On the topic of Chickens
As seen in the October 2024 revision of the ARB-ARC Guidelines, chicken coops have been incorporated into Section IX as a minor exterior item which is subject to approval under a few specific conditions. You can read the excerpt on chicken coop requirements below.
PART D: CHICKENS
1. Owners are allowed to keep six hens on their property as long as they are properly contained and no closer than ten feet from the property line or forty feet from the next nearest residence. Chicken pens must remain clean and impervious to predators.
2. Minimum lot size to keep hens is 2/10ths of an acre.
3. Roosters will not be allowed on the property.
4. Chicken Coops must be no larger than 24 square feet, with an attached run of no more than 60 square feet. Building materials, color and fencing must be approved by ARB/ARC.
5. Proper application must be made and approved by ARB/ARC prior to installation of any structure to house the hens.
6. No other livestock will be permitted on the properties.
By default, NO Multi-family property can have chickens!
