Why apply for the Board of Directors?
Lakewood’s Board of Directors works collaboratively to serve the community and shape the future of Lakewood.
Simply stated, our Board of Directors are responsible for the governance of Lakewood. They establish the vision for the community and make decisions concerning financial, infrastructure, and maintenance matters for LPOA (Lakewood Property Owners’ Association) and LHC (Lakewood Holding Company).
It’s a demanding position….
The role requires an open mind and a willingness to learn, integrity, a commitment to make thoughtful decisions in the best interest of all homeowners, and – at times – a thick skin. It takes a significant time commitment to study the issues and financials, engage with the community, and work with a diverse team of staff and volunteers.
….but the rewards are great.
The outcome of the Board’s efforts determines future investment into Lakewood’s amenities and can foster more efficient governance and increasing property values. Their leadership and collective actions keep our community thriving and moving forward.
If you would like to serve your community, pick up a petition for candidacy and file by March 5.
• Any LPOA member in good standing may run for one of the open positions to represent his/her membership class (East Lake, West Lake, or Multi-Family).

2. A fully completed questionnaire
3. A photo that will be taken at LPOA offices
• Candidate information will be published in the April Ripples and on the LPOA website, along with your three-year citation history and previous service, if any, on LPOA’s Board of Directors.
