ENVISION Lakewood is your community’s strategic plan for protecting property values, enhancing amenities, and ensuring Lakewood remains a great place to live. Here’s a snapshot of second-quarter progress:
Efficiently Operating the Lakewood Property Owners Association
WORKING SMARTER TO PROVIDE BETTER SERVICE.
• Staff operating procedures are now fully documented and reviewed annually for consistency and continuity.
• Weekly Resident Reminders are included in E-Blast to keep homeowners informed about community standards.
• Operating costs are reviewed monthly to identify savings opportunities.
• A new Board orientation program was developed to provide a better understanding of community operations.
• Development of a Board member exit interview process is underway to capture feedback and improve future governance.
• Staff strengthened relationships with industry organizations to bring new ideas and best practices to Lakewood.
Being Fiscally Responsible for both short and long-term sustainability
PLANNING TODAY FOR LAKEWOOD’S FUTURE.
• The 2026 Reserve Study is now available on the website.
• Improvements were made to the Lakewood Improvements Program (LIP) process and proposal forms.
• Northstar software streamlined operations, reducing reliance on third-party programs and saving approximately $900 annually.
Providing high-quality, available and appealing Amenities to residents
MAINTAINING AND ENHANCING THE AMENITIES YOU ENJOY.
• Tennis and pickleball courts were resurfaced.
• Design work has begun for the Oaks Pool improvements.
• Lake management efforts continue, including fish studies and water monitoring.
• Boat slip inventory was completed, and resident boat rentals remain strong.
• Resident feedback at the Argyle averages 9.8/10 and is used to continuously improve the dining and amenity experience.
Strengthening Community Connections
CREATING MORE OPPORTUNITIES TO GET INVOLVED.
• Communication improvements continue across multiple channels.
• Lakewood Activities Committee sponsored an Easter event in April – Pancake breakfast, Bunny Trail and added a new nine-hole mini-golf event.
• All three community pools opened over Memorial Day weekend.
• Committee openings are posted online and in the weekly Eblast along with Committee volunteer opportunities.
• Lakewood offers a wide variety of clubs & groups, providing something for every interest and a great way for residents to connect and engage.
Building Trust Through Communication
KEEPING RESIDENTS INFORMED.
• Project updates are now featured in Ripples.
• Board agendas, minutes, presentations, and meeting summaries continue to be published online.
• Staff continue to respond to resident inquiries within one business day.
• Resident surveys continue to guide Board and committee decision-making.
• New communication features—including How Your Dues Are Used and Did You Know?—help explain Association operations and resources.
Looking Ahead
Implementation of the ENVISION Lakewood Strategic Plan continues as the Board, staff, and committees turn priorities into action. Upcoming efforts include advancing lake health initiatives, refining long-term planning, and providing regular progress updates.
