Forming the Ad Hoc Vision Steering Committee
During March 2024, the LPOA Board began to seek applicants to join the new Vision Steering Committee:
A motion passed to approve a new Vision Ad-hoc Steering Committee, as recommended by President Stalnaker. This committee is tasked with promoting the 5-10 year plan and interviewing Planning and Survey professionals to create recommendations for the Board of Directors. President Stalnaker will serve as a non-voting Chairperson and Vice-president Snow will serve as Board Liaison.
Applicant Request:
“We’re looking for people who care about our community and want to help shape the future of Lakewood: through an Ad Hoc Vision Steering Committee. We need folks who are committed, work well with others, and have good ideas. We’re looking for residents that represent the diverse tapestry of our community.
We are searching for representation that encompasses the entire community (single family, multi-family), various backgrounds, ages, family structures, genders, and activity preferences. Your input will be invaluable as we work together to identify priorities, set goals, and develop strategies to address the needs of the community.
To ensure effective collaboration and streamlined decision-making, we are limiting the size of the committee to no more than twelve. This approach will enable us to maintain a nimble and responsive committee. Meeting frequency will be as needed; the Committee project is targeting a 6–12-month commitment.” Applications were due March 26, 2024.
